PASTORS & MINISTRY LEADERS
LEAD PASTOR

I've been pastoring at Creekside since 2016. I'm a Cal Poly, SLO grad (Speech Communication) and I got my Masters of Divinity from The Master's Seminary. I'm currently working on my Doctor of Ministry degree in Spiritual Formation from Denver Seminary. Prior to joining Creekside, I spent ten years serving in academic and pastoral roles at Eternity Bible College, where I now serve on the Board of Trustees. I also work on a variety of writing projects—sometimes on my own, sometimes in collaboration with other people. I love seeing the people of Creekside connect with God and each other, and I am most passionate about helping people find the empowerment of the Spirit to be everything God has made them to be. Laura and I have been married since 2005, and God has given us two amazing daughters: Abigail and Claire. If I haven't met you yet, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
ASSOCIATE PASTOR

My family and I have been at Creekside since 2021. I am a simple guy. I love Jesus. I love my family. My wife and I have been married since 2018. Since then we have had two amazing sons. My family is the joy of my life. I also love going on adventures and pushing myself to do crazy things. My greatest passions are to follow Jesus and to fall more in love with the mystery of God. I long to see the next generation of leaders filled with the characteristics of God. As my favorite pastor says this starts by being with Jesus, by becoming like Jesus, and by doing what Jesus did (John Mark Comer). Now that you know about me... I'd love to get to know you.
STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR

Hello! My family started attending Creekside in 2003, and I volunteered to serve in kids ministry soon after. Little did I know that God would call me to lead Creekside Kids full-time by 2008! Back then we didn't really have an office staff, so I spent my first 15 years with one hand in kids ministry and the other in church operations. This gave me a unique opportunity to see God move and provide in every single aspect of our church. My current role as Student Ministries Pastor is incredibly rewarding, as I get to spend all my time inviting the next generation to worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth! On paper, I'm not really qualified for anything I do, which just goes to show that God often calls the unqualified :) I have a dual degree in Journalism and Multicultural studies with an emphasis in Spanish from the University of Missouri. When I was in college, I was sure of three things: I never wanted to get married/have kids, I never wanted to be a teacher, and I never wanted to work for a church. (All of which my mom had done.) Instead, I wanted to be a hard-hitting journalist who always got the scoop. God had different plans for me, and I am thankful every day! Not only do I have a wonderful husband and two fabulous kids, I now use my writing and design skills to create the curriculum we use in every age from Preschool to 5th Grade. And the mission of Jesus has literally made me a student of people and cultures around the world: from the US to Mexico, the UK, Kenya, China and Bangladesh. I believe we have much to learn from the faith of our brothers and sisters across the globe, and I am passionate about sharing that with the next generation. In my life before kids and ministry, I taught high school Spanish and journalism for seven years. I love working with teenagers, kids and people of all ages. I can't wait to get to know you!
