O Father who runs to embrace your prodigal children,
May we receive your infinite love in unreserved gratitude.

O Christ who left the joy of heaven to seek and to save the lost,
May we be truly and deeply found in you.

O Spirit who searches the depths of our hearts,
Renew us inwardly as we behold the glory of God.

We come to you in confession, in compassion, and in gratitude. We come as beloved sinners, welcomed, embraced, and transformed in your grace. We ask you to fill us with your love. 

We pray for our ministry partners in Bangladesh and the kids they serve. May you stabilize the government and bless that hurting country. May you fill the staff of the children’s homes with grace and wisdom as they educate and care for children in need. And would the kids experience love and empowerment in you.

As artificial intelligence continues to develop to a point where its creators are warning about potential dangers, we ask you to protect us from those things that are outside of our control and to grant us peace of mind and heart. As technology advances rapidly, may we more fully embody what it means to be human and to bear your image. 

Lord, in your mercy…
Hear our prayer. 

We pray for those who are feeling the impact of continued inflation. Give wisdom to our leaders and care especially for the most vulnerable members of our society and our congregation. Train our hearts to value the ways of your kingdom above material comforts, and empower us to help those in need.

As our country continues to wrestle with immigration laws and enforcement, including injuries and deaths throughout the year, we pray for the safety and flourishing of all those who bear your image, both citizens and immigrants. Grant our leaders wisdom and fill each of us with compassion and grace.

We pray for the members of our church family who are grieving, ill, aging, and in need. We ask you to be a loving father to your children and to empower us as a church family to care well for our brothers and sisters. Fill our church body with love and grace.

Lord, in your love…
Hear our prayer. 

In all things we offer ourselves to you and ask that you make us more attentive to who you are, to what you’re doing within us, and to how you’re working around us. Empower us to boldly follow the Spirit’s leading.
